Once your WABA is connected to Serova, you can send WhatsApp-approved templates and broadcast messages directly to your audience.

WhatsApp requires pre-approved templates for any outbound business messages.
Templates are used for:
- Notifications
- Confirmations
- Event updates
- Marketing messages
- Reminders
- Alerts
Templates must be created and approved in Meta Business Manager.
Serova automatically imports your approved templates.
From the transcript:
- Templates cannot be created in Serova
- All templates must be created in Meta Business Manager
- Template approval or rejection is controlled by Meta, not Serova
- If a template is rejected, your organisation must:
- Edit it
- Re-submit
- OR appeal to Meta
Serova simply:
- Displays template status
- Syncs template updates
- Allows you to send messages with approved templates
You may only send templates to users who have given explicit opt-in.
Accepted opt-ins:
- Web forms
- Landing pages
- QR codes
- WhatsApp keyword opt-ins
- Existing client opt-ins
If a user did not opt in, the broadcast will not deliver.
- Go to Broadcasts
- Click New Broadcast
- Select your WABA number
- Choose a template
- Fill in values for each variable
- Upload your CSV
- Preview
- Send
Serova does not store any CSVs for compliance reasons.
For every broadcast:
You must upload a fresh CSV file.
CSV rules:
- Column 0 = Phone Number
- Column 1+ = Template Variables, in the same order as Meta defined
- Variables must match the template structure exactly
- Serova shows a preview of the first row to confirm correctness
- CSV can be used for:
- Individual personalised messages
- Bulk broadcasts
- Unique badge links
- Event-specific data
Serova never stores CSV files after the send.
You can send single template messages without a CSV.
Useful for:
- One-to-one messages
- Urgent updates
- Special cases
- Admin/organiser communication
After sending:
Serova will show a Campaign View with:
- Sent
- Delivered
- Read
- Replied
Export options are not yet available (planned future feature).
Serova invoices monthly for all template messaging.

- + WABA number cost
Each outbound template message includes:
- Serova fee: $0.005
- Meta fee: $0.04

Billing is monthly and includes:
- Assistant subscription
- Number cost
- Total messaging volume
Your daily sending capacity is determined by your WABA tier.
If you exceed your tier:
- Messages will queue
- OR deliver the next day depending on Meta’s rules
- Upload a fresh CSV every time
- Keep templates simple and clear
- Follow Meta’s naming and approval rules
- Avoid excessive messaging
- Test with a small list first
- Always ensure users opted in
- Personalise messages using variables
